My nephew's Yoda toque.
So, lately I’ve been doing my best to get the kids into Star Wars. It started when my sister brought home the entire saga on DVD that she’d borrowed from our cousin. The kids, of course, loved it. Like a lot.
As a result they’ve already begun thinking about their Halloween costumes. Yes, yes, I know it’s only August, but we enjoy the holidays. :P
Anyhoot, my nephew got it in his head that he wanted to be Yoda for Halloween. So I decided to knit him this hat. It’s my own design and hopefully I can recreate it a bit since his dad, my brother, wants one just like it. lol World’s tallest Yoda.
But as much as my nephew loves the toque, he’s already changed his mind and wants to be Luke or Boba Fett. *sigh* I think I’ll just make him be Yoda though since he’s small, the toque has already been made, and he talks a lot like Yoda does. lol
My nephew is absolutely smitten with the toque, so in the end that’s the important part. My daughter is now begging me to knit her a Leia toque. lol
PS? I’m toying with the idea of going as Han Solo this year …
